The restaurant's wine list is thought the finest on Bermuda, with fine, rare wines from around the world stocking the cave. The weekly Sunday brunch is especially attractive to guests, who may enjoy morning dining indoors or in the Palm Garden.

IDEAL LOCATION

ELBOW BEACH ON BERMUDA'S SOUTH SHORE IS JUST 5 MINUTES FROM PAGET PARISH INN.

LOCATION

There is no shortage of restaurants and cafιs and other services — including a principal food market — near the inn.  Bus, taxi, and ferry services combine to make for practical and scenic public transportation around the island. Public transportation (bus and taxi lines) make it easy to travel to/from the inn, which is on a prominent thoroughfare in the center of Bermuda. Not far to the north is the nearby ferry landing with services across the harbor to the city of Hamilton with water connections throughout Bermuda. Guests in Bermuda may not drive cars, but may rent motor scooters, bicycles, and electric bikes. (Note: Bermuda, like many outposts of the former British Empire, practices left-side driving.)

ACTIVITIES

Bermuda — known internationally for its pink beaches and challenging golf courses — offers a wide variety of activities, some surprising. In addition to golf, beach life, water sports, boating and fishing, visitors to the island can hike, hunt for arts, crafts, and antiques, and, most popularly, explore Bermuda by bus, ferry, taxi, bike, or scooter. Of Bermuda's seven golf courses (one approximately every 4 miles) three are within 15 minutes of the Paget Parish Inn. Closest to the inn is Belmont Hills Golf Resort, a two-minute taxi ride or a seven-minute walk from the Paget Parish Inn. Among the nearest beaches to the Paget Parish Inn is one of Bermuda's best, Elbow Beach with its 4 cafιs and restaurants, only 5-minutes away by taxi.

Shopping, dining, and entertainment choices are at their best in the city of Hamilton, reached conveniently by bus in

about 15 minutes from the Paget Parish Inn.

Buses run about half-hourly from about 7AM to 7PM (shorter schedule on Sundays) with one late bus permitting 11PM arrival at the inn nightly.

          Westbound buses (operating half-

hourly) connect the Paget Parish Inn in less than 50 minutes with the far northwestern tip of Bermuda, the location of the historic Dockyard maritime fortress and Bermuda's Maritime Museum. From here a mostly hourly fast ferry crosses the Great Sound back to Hamilton in just 20 minutes.

The eastern end of Bermuda is tipped by its original settlement, St. George's town, dating from the early 1600s when English colonists bound for the Virginia colony were shipwrecked by a tempest onto uninhabited Bermuda. The old town — now a recognized World Heritage Site — is historic, charming, walkable, and just about an hour's bus ride from Hamilton. Closer to Hamilton by 20 minutes are the surprising Crystal & Fantasy Caves, a fascinating underground walking tour amid a fantasia of stalactites and stalagmites.

Horse riding, yacht hire, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, and diving are easily arranged in Bermuda. Just a short distance from the inn is access to the 18-miles of

Belmont Hills Golf Resort — 5-7 minutes from Paget Parish Inn — is short, but narrow with
water hazards, oddities on Bermudian courses.

Bermuda's Railway Trail, ideal for walking and

cycling.

Regardless of the activities you choose, a pleasant start and perfect end to each day are yours at the centrally-located, comfortable refuge at the Paget Parish Inn.

When's Best to Go?
Bermuda's Atlantic Ocean Gulf Stream location ensures warm weather year round: rarely hot in summer, rarely cold in winter. For sure ocean swimming, think April-October. For least-crowded attractions, beaches and golf courses, think November-March.
