Attractions in the Sogne Fjord Region:

The Sogne Fjord region contains some of the grandest scenery in the world: traditional Norwegian villages and remote farming communities set deep inland along fjords edged with the perpendicular walls of rugged glaciated mountains from which spectacular waterfalls drop in freefall. The United Nations lists one incredible arm of the Sognefjord, the Nærøyfjord, as a World Heritage Site, but the whole region offers adventures in an unsurpassed and ever changing landscape: sightseeing by car, boat, and train, hiking, mountaineering,

cycling, even skiing and glacier ice climbing.
