activities— like an organized hike on the famous Tongariro, Queen Charlotte,

there are thousands, including
DAY HIKES,
swimming
with dolphins,
Fox Glacier
heli-hiking, cruising Milford Sound, riding the scenic
TranzAlpine train, whale watching — can be booked

HOME AT FIRST in advance of your trip as a fixed part of your itinerary. However,
because few of these activities require more than 24 hours advance booking, in most cases
you will want to wait until you are in New Zealand and know the weather and your other
activity choices before deciding to make an activity booking. At that time you can make
your own bookings or enlist the assistance of your local New Zealand hosts, who do not
charge for such service. |
