NOTE 9: VISITORS’ FEES & VISAS FOR THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND apply to visitors to Ireland from many parts of the world and involve completing forms and paying fees (currently the equivalent of US$65) in advance of your arrival in Ireland. However, passport-holding citizens of many other countries (including the USA & Canada) are exempt from these entry regulations.

NOTE 10: PRE-TRAVEL UK ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION REGISTRATION & PAYMENT OF THE UK’s ETA VISITOR FEE: The UK (including Northern Ireland) requires short-term (up to 6 months) visitors to register on-line and pay an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) entry fee of £16 (about US$22) per individual traveler. Registration and payment applies to all short-term visitors who are not citizens of the UK, regardless of age. ETA entry fees (often called “tourist visas”) in effect during the times of your planned trip are not included in Home At First’s 2026 prices. Completing any required forms and paying any required fees are each individual traveler’s responsibility before departing for the UK.
